Piano Improvisation: Falling Blossom

Don’t you just love it when nature puts on a show just for you?
As I looked out of my window this morning at the picturesque Spring scene my emotions however were mixed.
A gust of wind suddenly lifted the branches on my cherry tree and I was transfixed by the beauty of the flurry of blossoms as they drifted like snow to the ground.
But I also felt sad.
A few more gusts and the beautiful blossom that has decorated my tree will be gone.
Those precious moments watching the brightly coloured blossom as it dances on the tree are fleeting.
But, if we remember to be truly mindful in the moment, we are able to engage more fully with the beauty of our surroundings.
And after all, I know I will just have to wait patiently for next year when nature will come full circle and I will once again be captivated by her Spring show!
This piano improvisation was inspired by the beauty and fragility of Falling Blossom.
