The Lunar Collection is a collection of 4 piano pieces, each using a different 5 - note hand position. 
 
By changing to a different 5 note hand position at the start of each piece, confidence can be built in recognising which 5 notes will be under each finger depending on their starting note.
 
There are two versions of each piece, one that uses
Crotchets / quarter notes
Minims / half notes
Semibreves / whole notes

And the other that is written at double speed using
Quavers / eighth notes
Crotchets / quarter notes
Minims / half notes

The differences demonstrate how you can play the same piece, but it can look faster or slower depending on the note values used.
 
Each piece uses the sustain pedal held down throughout to create a mystical, other-worldly quality that will appeal to teens and adults as well as children.

The use of octave higher signs encourages students to ‘copy and paste’ their 5 - note hand position further up the piano to add to the mysterious atmosphere.
