Memories of the Sea is nostalgic, atmospheric and dramatic.
There are echoes of sea shanties to be heard in the melody, while the crashing of waves can be heard in the powerful left hand chords. The time signature change from 3/4 to 6/8 creates a change in flow as a storm begins to build, but then suddenly the drama dissipates and we’re back to a more peaceful nostalgic feel at the end.
Features: Triplets in 3/4 that become quavers / eighth notes in 6/8, hand crossing, range of five and a half octaves

Meteor Shower is atmospheric and thought provoking with an other-worldly feel.
The use of arpeggiated chords helps to convey a timeless grandeur while the flurries of notes spread between the hands evoke the sudden movement of a meteor shooting through the sky.

Waiting for the Fireworks is mesmerizing and hypnotic at times, but also exudes an intensity that evokes roaring flames and dramatic explosions.
The sweeping left hand adds to the drama while the haunting right hand melody contains chords, often in parallel movement, intertwined with swirls of notes that also help to set the scene.
Features: Chords with intervals of 4ths, 7ths and octaves, semiquaver / sixteenth-note runs, syncopation

Cascading Leaves is relaxing, peaceful and poignant.
The sweeping left hand conveys movement while the lyrical, often syncopated, right hand melody mimics the drifting leaves as they fall from the trees while the flurries of notes and part-playing add to the overall imagery.

Sleigh Bells in the Snow is sentimental, peaceful and evokes a cozy feeling.
