A Moment to Remember is celebratory, whimsical and has a sentimental feel.

There are echoes of familiar melodies that hark back to birthday and Christmas celebrations over the years, with the jubilant bell-like descending motifs accompanied by flowing pianist left hand patterns.

Features: Ostinato-style left hand, chords of 3rds and 6ths, repetitive descending right hand motifs

Focus: To work on stamina, chord placements, co-ordination

The First Blossom of Spring is delicate, hopeful and full of optimism.

The flowing pianistic left hand is contrasted with melodic motifs that use semiquaver / sixteenth note flurries that help convey movement.

Features: Quaver / eighth note ostinato in left hand, chords in 3rds in right hand, syncopation

Focus: To build rhythmic stamina, produce even tone, finger dexterity

One Beautiful Sunset is uplifting, joyous and has a celebratory feel.

The flowing pianistic left hand patterns mimic the flow of water while the flurries of semiquavers / sixteenth notes in the right hand evoke the sparkles of the shimmering sun as it sets.  The time signature change from simple time to compound time creates a more dance-like feel as the mood changes to reflect the setting of the sun at the end of the day.

Features: Octave jumps, flowing pianistic left hand, change from simple time to compound time

Focus: Spatial awareness, stamina, rhythm

Waiting for the Fireworks is mesmerizing and hypnotic at times, but also exudes an intensity that evokes roaring flames and dramatic explosions.

The sweeping left hand adds to the drama while the haunting right hand melody contains chords, often in parallel movement, intertwined with swirls of notes that also help to set the scene.

Features: Chords with intervals of 4ths, 7ths and octaves, semiquaver / sixteenth-note runs, syncopation

Focus: Chord placement, finger dexterity, rhythm
