Close Encounters Collection is a set of 3 piano pieces, each with a space theme. 
 
Alien Adventure uses the hand position E to B in both hands and features playing one and two octaves higher and lower
Floating in Space uses the hand position C to G in both hands and features the right hand playing one and two octaves higher or lower (with hand crossing) and uses the sustain pedal throughout
Planet Hopping uses the hand position F to C in both hands and features the right hand playing a 4-note riff two octaves lower by crossing over the left hand

Each piece builds confidence of a different set of 5 notes beneath each finger to help prepare students for more hand position changes during pieces.
